DEVELOPMENT OF RING ROAD

• Development of a 60m wide, 76 km long city level Ring Road estimated cost of Rs.335crores

• Usually, the land acquisition process is used to acquire land for provision of infrastructure

• The land falling in urbanized zone, of 59 K.m. length, is procured through TP Scheme.

• Length of 17 k.m. falling in non urbanized area is acquired by land acquisition.

• Two lane road is operational and one BOT base construction of two lane is started and it is likely to be completed by June ‘08

Link 1: Rajkot Highway Junction (NH-8A) to Vadodara Highway Junction (NH-8) of 14.106 kms
Link 2: Vadodara Highway Junction (NH-8) to Himatnagar Highway junction (NH-8) of 25.518 km
Link 3: Gandhinagar Highway Junction (NH-8C) to Rajkot Highway Junction (NH-8A) of 22.862 km
Link 4: Himatnagar Highway junction (NH-8) to Gandhinagar Highway Junction (NH-8C) of 13.827 km
